Volando
I love projects that I can easily adapt to whatever yarn and yardage I have available. I also like to be able to change my mind and switch things up as I am knitting. I designed this shawl with exactly that in mind.
Volando is a top-down shawl that is easily adaptable in size, and it can be knit in your choice of yarn weight from lace to dk. The shawl is made with 2 different lace patterns, one that increases the number of stitches quickly, and one that provides a more gradual increase. After the set-up rows, these two lace patterns can be worked in any order and for as many repeats as you wish. Switching between the 2 patterns creates a fun and interesting knit that will keep you entertained the whole way through.
The lace patterns are simple enough even for those who are new to lace, and patterning is worked exclusively on the right-side rows.
The entire pattern is both written and charted, and special attention has been given to make it easy to read whether on your tablet or printed in color or black and white.
Links to tutorials are also included for both the garter-tab cast-on and a stretchy bind-off. Dive on in. The water is fine.
