Volu was designed and knit for my goddaughter, using all the pink leftover sock yarn I had. A lacy border in one colorway completes it. You can use as many or as few different colors of yarn you want, in any weight, at any gauge, to any size you like. You can wear it as a shawl, or use it as a blanket, it’s up to you!

Finished Size:
Shown: 50” diameter, lightly blocked. Easily adjustable based on what you have on hand.

Yarn: Several different sock yarns are used in this. I used approximately 43g of each for the body of the blanket, or about 155 yards each. From center:
Dragonfly Fibers Dragon Sock in Save the Ta-tas, End of the Row Yarns 80/20 Sock in Ghost, Neighborhood Fiber Co Studio Sock in Mondawmin, Dragonfly Fibers Dragon Sock in Peach Melba, Tempting Ewe Ewe So Happy in Fading Flowers, Neighborhood Fiber Co in Victorian Village; Border took an entire 4 ounce skein of Dragonfly Fibers Dragon Sock in Nekkid.

Entire blanket took 320g, or approximately 1160 yards.

You may use whichever weight yarn you have on hand at any gauge. Just make sure all of the yarns are the same weight.

Needles: US #4/3.5mm circular needle, 32 inches or longer, and needles of the same size to work your preferred method to knit small circumferences in the round.
Or size to make preferred gauge if using a different weight of yarn.

Gauge: 20 stitches/28 rows per 4” in gently blocked stockinette stitch. Gauge is not critical for this item, but will affect yardage and drape.

Your gauge will vary based on the yarn and needles you choose to use.
