Volund
This beanie features Norwegian stranded colourwork in a design inspired by the story of Volund the smith.
The yardage breakdown is as follows:
110 m / 120 yards fingering weight yarn in main colour
25 m / 27 yards fingering weight yarn in contrast colour 1
45 m / 49 yards fingering weight yarn in contrast colour 2
The pattern is charted. Due to the width of the motif, the best way to change the beanie’s circumference is by knitting at a different gauge. This can be achieved by changing needle size and/or using thicker/thinner yarn.

I’m experimenting this year with a pay-what-you-will model. If you have made this pattern and would like to show your appreciation, please consider buying me some virtual coffee! Thanks for your support!
