Volunteer Baby Blanket
Inspired by my love for Greek meander, and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I introduce my first pattern - the Volunteer Blanket. Its fun, mosaic crochet scheme will be sure to dazzle any mommy or daddy-to-be, and works up quickly in any size 4 yarn. Happy hooking!
• First and last sc are worked separate from mosaic scheme
• Chart is read as each row representing two crochet rows in the same color
• Chart is represented as worked from bottom to top
• The second row of each color is worked in sc, and ch-2 sp identical to previous row worked
• Ch-2 sp counts as a stitch throughout work
• Beginning ch 1 does not count as a stitch
• Mosaic scheme repeats every 23 rows throughout the body
• Mosaic scheme of border repeats every 5 rows
• Color changes worked in last sc of each row where indicated by attaching new color using last two loops of sc stitch
• Use stitch markers to help maintain pattern repetition every 23 rows, per written pattern, or every 13 rows, per Body Graph Pattern if desired
