Think of the Volute Cowl, more as a formula than a pattern. When a 2X2 rib is worked over an odd number of stitches in the round, the swirl pattern is automatically created. For a super fast project, use large needles and bulky yarn… for a totally different look, try smaller needles and a thinner yarn.
