Voncille
Every Thanksgiving, Aunt Voncille would welcome our family to her home with open arms. A row of long tables, covered with plastic tablecloths, were lined with a series of metal folding chairs. Our holiday traditions weren’t fancy. Paper plates, turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy, dressing (both plain and one with oysters), and pies… lots of pies brought the celebration together. This year is different, and our families find each other miles apart. The Voncille cowl celebrates the opportunity we have to send off a small care package to someone we love. With an easy-to-follow repeat, the Voncille cowl knits up quickly and makes a great gift for friends far and near. In an afternoon you’ll have a completed project that can be wrapped up with a hand-written note and mailed out to a friend or family member to show them how much they are missed.
