8 mm Hook - Or size needed to obtain gauge
6 mm Hook - For the heart
Super Bulky (Size 6) Yarn - I used Bernat Blanket (1 skein will be plenty)
Worsted Weight Yarn - For embellishing and the heart.
Tape measure
Yarn Needle
Polyfill to stuff
Optional - Weighted Stuffing Beads
Optional - Button for eye

This design has been floating around in my head since November of 2020! Since it was originally a “me” project, I didn’t really put much thought into it until recently. I was not expecting the response I received from friends and family.

The first one I created was sort of a bust. I ran out of a discontinued velvet yarn, and couldn’t find another skein to finish the legs. My fiance decided that it was his plushie, even with no legs. He’s named it Filbert, and it now lives on our couch.

For the second one I created, I decided to try a bulky yarn. It worked up much smaller, but I was still happy with it. My coworker claimed that one, so once again, I had to start over.

While shopping for yarn, I stumbled upon the perfect tan color in Bernat Blanket yarn. It was on sale at the time as well, so I purchased 2 skeins, to ensure I had enough yarn.

I absolutely LOVE how the third one turned out. The best part about this plushie is that you can embellish them in any way you choose! By adding weighted stuffing beads, this can double as a cute doorstop!

I do not include how to specifically embellish in this pattern, where you place the embellishments are up to you, as the creator! Try adding hair, different sized buttons for the eyes, or a felt heart!
