The stylish lines of this cowl are created by stripes combined with a simple slip stitch pattern. The cowl is knitted in the round as a long tube. It starts with a provisional cast-on and is sewed together at the end.

The pattern consists of stripes, stockinette and slipped stitches.

The cowl shown above is knitted with one main color and three contrast colors. But it can be knitted with any number of contrast colors.

Four the four color version you will need appr.: 500m (550yards) of main color and appr. 160m (175yards) of each contrast color.

If you have only one contrast color, you will need appr. 500m (550yards) of contras color yarn.

Die stylischen Linien dieses Cowls entstehen aus einer Kombination von Farbstreifen und einem einfachen Hebemaschenmuster. Der Cowl wird als Schlauchschal gestrickt und am Ende zusammengenäht. Bei einer Länge von ca. 125 cm kann er zweimal um den Hals gewickelt werden.

Die oben gezeigte Version wurde mit vier Farben gestrickt. Einer Hauptfarbe und drei Kontrastfarben. Der Cowl kann aber mit einer beliebigen Anzahl von Kontrastfarben gestrickt werden.

Für die vierfarbige Variante benötigt man ca. 500 m von der Hauptfarbe und ca. 150 - 160 m von jeder Kontrasfarbe.

Wenn man nur mit einer Kontrastfarbe strickt, benötigt man ungefähr 500 m davon.
