Vortex Socks
Knit from the cuff down to the toe, these socks feature a squishy swirling texture that is a non-traditional play on ribbing. The patterning becomes easy to memorize in just a few repeats, and you’ll suddenly find yourself in a whirlwind of sock knitting magic!
There is a playlist of songs on the last page that helped inspire this pattern. I hope you enjoy knitting to them as much as I did!
Required Materials
Yarn: Fingering Weight Yarn (any fingering weight yarn, at any price point, can be substituted so long as gauge is met). The sample was knit using two contrasting colors of fingering weight yarn--a 100g skein for the main color and a 20g mini-skein for the contrast color. However, the contrast color can be omitted and the entire sock can be knit using one 100g skein.
