I bought a used VW Beetle last summer, and it has the usual wear n’ tear; the driver’s key has been a bit abused; I’ve tried glueing it, taping it, tying ribbon on it, even elastics, but the poor thing keeps falling apart. Very inconvenient to be digging in a purse for the battery and half of the key, so inspiration hit and voila; a knit key cozy to keep my key in one peice, and have the front open so I have easy access to the unlock/lock buttons. It’s such a simple and quick knit I can easily make a replacement cozy if the battery needs changed or it gets to worn looking.
