Crochet dishcloths are one of those things that are in the category of ‘if you know, you know’. So many times, I’ve given them as gifts to friends who were NOT in the know and I always laughed at the puzzled, slightly mocking, look they would give me. I would simply say, ‘try it’. Almost every time the response was, “Oh my goodness! Can you please make some more for me?”

The Waffle Dishcloth is one of my favourite designs so far. It has the perfect blend of texture and thickness to mop up any of your spills, clean your kitchen and bathroom benches, wipe food off your dishes, or any other cleaning job you can throw at it. Then when it’s dirty, simply pop it in the washing machine and you’re ready to go again. Just don’t tumble dry them. Ask me how I know! ‍♀️

The waffle stitch is easier than most people think. If you’re not familiar with it, there is a link in the pattern to my tutorial (both written and video) on how to crochet this stitch.

Easy peasy!
