This pattern is for a versatile purse, large enough to carry toys and snacks to the beach, or food home from the market, or just to use as an everyday purse or mommy bag. Personally I use it every day, and have had people try to buy it off my shoulder! Adjust the colors to make a modern beachy bag, or a country-style purse suited for a glamorous cowgirl.

Pattern includes lots of photos to compare your work to as you go, as well as detailed instructions for fringe and squares.

I find this bag is most sturdy when worked in 100% cotton. Materials needed include:

Seven balls of worsted weight cotton yarn (Lily’s and Cream or equivalent)
Color A or Dark Brown - 1 ball
Color B or Hot Pink - 1 ball
Color C or White - 2 balls
Color D or Light Blue - 1 ball
Color E or Light Brown - 2 balls

Size I or H hook.
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Matching fabric for lining (Optional)
Purse handles (Optional, if not crocheted)

Gauge is not important.
