Wainthropp
Wainthropp embraces all things cute and crafty. The cardigan is knit from the top down in a textured lace stripe pattern, starting with the upper back. The fronts are picked up from the cast-on edge of the back, and the fronts and back are joined when the underarm stitches are added. The body is then knit down in one piece with shaping that is incorporated into the stitch pattern sequence. Sleeve stitches are picked up from around the armhole of the body, and they’re shaped using short rows. Garter stitch button bands complete the cardigan. Wainthropp fits best with 1-4 in / 2.5-10 cm of negative ease.
The pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the lace stripes.
