I tend to find myself in waiting rooms a lot. I needed a project that was portable, and simple enough that I didn’t need to carry the pattern along once I had everything established. I’m a fan of slouchy hats, so this was the natural result. The simple mesh panels add a little interest.

Skills Required:

• knit and purl
• cast on in the round - Turkish, magic ring, etc.
• kfb - knit front & back increase
• yo
• bind off in pattern or sewn bind-off

You can easily adjust this hat to suit your size, yarn supply, and tastes by omitting stitches from the stockinette panels and/or working fewer repeats of the body pattern.
