Endlich auch auf Deutsch!

I’ve designed these socks for Luis, the grandson of my neighbour Heidi. The boy will go to the Waldkindergarten in September. A Waldkindergarten is a nursery in the nature, in the forest. The kids spend much time outdoor and need warm clothes. I hope, these socks will keep Luis’ feet warm. Besides the magic toadstool is a symbol for fortune.

Sizes:
size 1: toddler: CO 48 sts
size 2: kids: 52 sts
size 3 and 4: teens: 60 or 64 sts (personal preferences)

Yarn: Sock yarn in 4 colors. You can use up leftovers.

Yardage for the sample in size 1 and EUR 22/23 (foot length 15 cm)
C1 light gray 11g
C2 green 8g
C3 dark gray 11g
C4 red 4g
total 34 grams

Yardage for size 3, ankle high, EUR 40 (foot length 25cm)
C1 light gray 14g
C2 green 7g
C3 pink 25g
C4 black 5g
total 51g

Needles and tools: DPNs size US1 (2.25mm) and US1 ½ (2.5mm) or long circular needles same sizes for magic loop, tapestry needle, scissors, 2 stitch markers (optional).
