The Walk In The Park sweater is an oversized boxy-fit sweater with balloon sleeves knitted in super chunky yarn.
The pattern is available in sizes (XS)S(M)L(XL)2XL - photos show a Small on a UK8/10, 169cm tall, 34inch bust.

Beginner!
This is a super beginner friendly pattern and I’ve designed it with absolute newbies in mind. I’ve included lots of links and helpful info to make it as non-intimidating as possible. It uses large needles and super chunky yarn so you will see progress very quickly. Each size is written on a different page to keep things straightforward.

YOU WILL NEED:
12mm circular knitting needles*
15mm circular knitting needles*
(5)5(6)6(7)7 balls of We Are Knitters The Wool in Yarnicorn (or similar 200g/80m super bulky yarn)
Tapestry/embroidery needle for weaving in ends
Row marker (a ring or loop of yarn works just as well!)

By far the query I get the most is ‘what size of wire do I need for the circular needles?’ - the answer is it doesn’t really matter! My 12mm needles have an 80cm wire and my 15mm have a 100cm wire, I would recommend between 60-100cm wire for use in most projects. We use the ‘magic loop’ method which means we can knit tiny circumferences even with a long wire.

TECHNIQUES USED:
Basic knit and purl, magic loop, decreasing stitches, picking up stitches. All of these are easy to learn and I’ve linked to helpful videos in the pattern to walk you through anything you don’t already know!

GAUGE:
10cmx10cm working stockinette on 15mm needles = 6 stitches, 8 rows

MEASUREMENTS (length, width)
XS: 44cm, 50cm
S: 46cm, 55cm
M: 48cm, 60cm
L: 50cm, 65cm
XL: 52cm, 70cm
2XL: 54cm, 75cm

The jumper is knitted flat in two panels, the sleeves are knitted in the round, then everything is seamed up and the neckline added at the end.
