Designed specifically for this yarn and the Erin Lane Bags Club, this cowl is my representation of the adventure of the humble hobbit in Lord of the Rings.

Like Frodo and Sam’s journey through Middle Earth to Mordor, this cowl starts off fairly easy with garter stitch, then you begin one color brioche for a large part of the cowl, then work a brioche stitch that resembles the flames of Mt Doom.

If the brioche flame stitch is a bit more than you want to tackle, you can make this cowl with straight one color brioche and it would still feel as lovely around the neck.
