Walk the Block MKAL
Are you ready to go on a knitting adventure? You’ve come to the right place! First things first; what will we be knitting on our adventure? Walk the Block is a cross between a shawl and a scarf. Long and flowing with surprise twists and turns that will keep you engaged. Yet, the pattern is simple enough, with repeatable sections so that you will be able to take it along without necessarily needing to look at your pattern for long stretches. Along the way you will learn tricks to make the most of your knitting-while-walking experience and tips to help you succeed. If walking while knitting is not for you for any reason, have no fear! I will provide alternative options and suggestions that will help you capture the spirit of the knit-along so that everyone can be included. I am so happy to be your “tour guide” on this journey. I sincerely hope you choose to join us, and as always, Knit Bravely. ~Cassondra Rizzardi
A note on yarn for this project:
Set of twelve 87 yds/20 g mini skeins (total of 1,044 yds/240 g) fingering weight yarn.
The pattern was designed with a custom mini skein kit from Six and Seven Fiber, which is available
for purchase in conjunction with this pattern. You may use the kit and all 12 colors as they are
presented in the pattern. Or if you prefer, you may change the order, use fewer colors, a different
palette, etc, as long as you have the total yardage. Feel free to make this your own and do what
works best for you. The pattern uses 3 different colors from the set each week over the course
of the 4 week knitalong. But as I said, you can change that as you see fit to make it your own. A
minimum of 3 color choices would be ideal.
