Walkaroo MKAL
This mystery bag is a functioning wristlet designed for the yarnie on the move. Construction is bottom up in the round, then the straps are knit flat and joined with a 3-needle bind off. Edgings complete the finished look of the piece, and there may even be a little pocket on the front. All colorwork uses slipped stitches, and there is no stranded knitting at all.
Sections of the pattern will be released on March 28, April 4, and April 11, along with some teaser photos along the way.
Yarn:
Emma’s Yarn Simply Spectacular DK
122y - Color A
122y - Color B
50y - Color C
If you want to choose your own colors, you will need a dk weight similar to SSDK. We chose to knit with SSDK due to the nylon component adding strength, the washability, and the fabulous colors. You do not want a yarn with a looser twist. And, if you are not using three tonals or solids (as we did), we recommend only one of your colors be variegated. It doesn’t matter which of the three. Your three colors together can blend or be high contrast.
Original Sample:
A - Freshly Cut
B - Very Berry
C - Twilight
Test Sample:
A - Forget Me Not
B - Sweet Magnolia
C - Love and Leche
