Walking Rays top is a pretty lace top that is knitted from the bottom up and has optional sleeves. Designed for The Blue Purl in their Signature Color from Marianated Yarns for the New Jersey Wool Walk 2022, I used the beautiful lace called Sun Ray Lace. Dress up or down, this versatile top looks amazing over a linen dress and looks cool and casual with a pair of shorts. The amazing yarn truly lives up to its name (scrumptious HT) and is a pleasure to knit and wear in all seasons. The larger needle and fingering weight yarn create a fabric that is a drape-y dream.

MATERIALS

Marianated Yarns Scrumptious HT
400yards 366 m 100 grams

Needles (suggested size):
US 5 3.75 mm in 16” 40 cm.
US 7 4.5 mm in 24” 60 cm.

Gauge:
Stocking Stitch: 17.5 sts and 26 rows = 4 inches blocked and knit in the round.
Lace Repeat: 5.25” x 1”
