Wall Staghorn
Wall Staghorn - a quirky decor piece to hang in your home inspired by the Staghorn fern species. A plant that can’t be killed!
Yarn/Crochet materials:
o Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/6 in Dusty Green (023)
o Spotlight (Australia) 4 Seasons Brighton Cotton Blend 8 ply Brown
o Crochet hook 2.5mm
o Wire – I used 1.6mm thick PVC coated tie wire (Bunnings Australia)
o Wire cutters
Outlined above is the exact yarn I used in this pattern/images, however anything will work and hook size can be changed to suit. This will just affect the overall size of the staghorn and you may need to alter the wire lengths to suit.
Mounting materials:
o Wooden circle board, approx. 10cm (4 inches) – I used my own sawn tree from the garden courtesy of handy husband but you can purchase craft wood slices from craft stores or hardware stores if needed
o Picture frame hook to attach to back for wall hanging and screw
o Drill for holes through wooden circle board for wire to go through
o 1 x screw to wind wire around at back (can do without – see assembly instructions)
