Wallflower Cowl
Wallflower uses mosaic colorwork to create a dense, full-bodied fabric that stands up to keep you warm. I-cord edges prevent rolling and add a substantial finish to complement the graphic patterns. Contrary to its complex appearance, the colorwork in this cowl is actually quite easy to do, as you’re only working with a single color at a time!
While the I-Cord Cast on and I-Cord Bind Off are encouraged to ensure stability in the edges of the cowl, a Long Tail Cast On and standard bind off can be substituted with sturdier yarns that do not easily roll. You may want to experiment on your swatch before deciding which method is best for your project.
Pattern includes a mini Gauge Swatch Pattern, allowing you to practice any unfamiliar techniques before casting on, and a coloring page to help you choose and arrange your colors. Download the coloring page for FREE here to try it out before purchasing the pattern, OR if you’re like me and prefer to fill colors in digitally, there is also a jpg file at that link. Use the paint bucket tool in Photoshop or Pixlr.com (a free image editor web app) to quickly fill in the jpg template with your color palette.
