This pattern is simple enough for a beginner crocheter.
The headband is tapered at the back so it can be worn over or under your hair. The flower is optional, but the pattern does include instructions for how to make the Wallflower - which begins with a magic circle which isn’t a beginner technique, but a link to an instructional video is included in the pattern.
