The Walz in the Park Cowl is an unbelievably easy bandana-style crochet cowl. It’s simple, easy and quick, and creates a beautiful cowl that slips over the head. The first steps are crocheted flat, then it’s joined in the round. Once done, you will crochet the edging to complete the cowl. There are two options for edgings, one simple and the other a little bit more involved that forms pom pom dangles.
You’ll fall into the 1-2-3 rhythm of the pattern and enjoy not having to count rows or stitches. You reach your endpoints by measuring with a measuring tape. So, round up your favorite sock, fingering or worsted weight yarn start walzing!
Gauge is not critical, but I recommend a medium tension.
Recommended yarns are sock, fingering or worsted weight yarn. You can adapt this pattern to any weight yarn, once you see how it’s crocheted.
This is the perfect pattern for gift giving. You can make it with left over yarns in your stash, or get 2 cowls out of one skein 100 g skein of sock yarn. It’s quick and easy and something your family and friends will enjoy receiving.
