Wanda
“This easy-to-knit skirt will be a lovely addition to any wardrobe,” says Van Stralen. “The length of the ruffle is easily adjusted to suit your taste. Eyelets around the top of the ruffle allow you to weave ribbon through to add flare.” Louet is too modest to mention that linen is one of the very best possible fibres out of which to knit a skirt; it’s not capricious, demands machine washing and drying (and gets softer the more you do it), and doesn’t ‘seat’-- pooch out in the back where your bottom was. Worked almost entirely in the round with an elastic casing at the waistband for a flexible, comfortable fit.
