Wander & Whirl is a wonderfully light and lacey shawl perfect for spring and summer. It’s worked straight on the bias, making it a fun and relaxing knit project.
The shawl features generous sections of lovely flowery lace, adding a nice drape to the overall design. You have the option to add beads to the lace sections for some extra sparkle and sunlight capture. While beads are optional, they add a personal touch to your project.

Choose three favorite colors of fingering weight yarn, using one as the leading color for the lace and letting the other two dance together in the surrounding sections.
Finished size is approximately 27 cm x 210 cm / 11 inches x 84 inches, making it a lovely summer (or vacation) knit due to its light weight.

Wander & Whirl blends relaxing garter stitch, fun stripes and intriguing lace. It’s a design that encourages your mind to wander as you feel the soothing rhythm of garter stitch, and once finished, it gently whirls in the spring breeze.
This shawl’s generous size will wrap you like a hug, yet is so light and lacey that it lets the sun and smooth wind caress your skin.
