Wander Mittens
Wander Mittens are a bottom-up stranded mitten. They are cast on at the cuff with a short ribbing then stranded colorwork throughout the remainder of mitten construction. A thumb gusset is made and then held to be worked later for thumb. Mitten is seamless and worked in-the-round.
The fabric is meant to be dense enough to minimize wind but not dense enough to hurt your hands while making. Lettlopi, specifically wool from Icelandic sheep, makes for a practically dense and weather-resistant mitten.
