Gauge-Free Approach
Unlike most patterns, Wander does not require matching the designer’s gauge. Instead, you have two calculation options to customize the pattern to your individual gauge and measurements:

Automatic Calculation – Enter your measurements into the provided Excel calculator, which will generate the stitch and row counts for you.
Manual Calculation – Use the provided formulas and detailed instructions to calculate the stitch and row counts yourself.
This eliminates the stress of trying to match the designer’s tension and allows you to work comfortably with your machine’s natural settings.

Jacquard Pattern
The vest features a single-bed jacquard design. You have three options for creating the pattern:

Create your own design – Customize the jacquard to reflect your personal style.
Use one of the five included templates – The pattern includes five pre-designed punch cards.
Select a design from the standard punch card set – Compatible with most Brother and Knitmaster punch card sets.

The construction includes thoughtful details and versatile finishing options:

Two neckline options – Round and V-neckline.
Two ribbing options – 1x1 and 2x1 industrial ribbing.
Shaping – All contours (armholes, neckline, and shoulder slopes) are formed using short-row shaping.

The pattern is designed for punch card knitting machines (Brother and Knitmaster).
Instructions for electronic knitting machines and other brands are not included. However, experienced knitters familiar with their machines should have no trouble adapting the pattern.
