Wandering Ivy combines the delicious squishiness of brioche stitches with gentle traveling cables. Featuring two simple cable stitches in the entire pattern, these mitts are a great choice for practicing your brioche. Never done brioche cables before? This is the pattern for you!

The cables travel gently across the forearms (in opposite directions so the left and right mitts are different--which will keep you interested!), suggesting twisting, climbing vines of ivy. There are lots of plain rounds (’rest’ rounds) in between each cable round, so you’ll have plenty of time to practice your plain and cabled brioche stitches.

You will need 1 skein of fingering-weight yarn for this project. Aurora has 400 yds/skein, and this cowl was designed to maximize the yardage for a one-skein project.

Choose a tonal or lightly speckled yarn to let this pattern shine.
