WanderKnit™ - Dutch Lente Cushion
Come travel with us! Discover, learn, and become inspired by our destination-themed quarterly WanderKnit™ packages.
In Dutch, “lente” means “springtime,” and Holland is famous for its springtime tulips! In The Netherlands, tulips symbolize perfect love; and each color has a different meaning. Let the colors change and shift on their own as your garden grows or pick your blooms carefully by choosing which part of HiKoo® Simplicity Multi to work with next.
This cheerful colorwork cushion is knit in the round, with only one seam along the top! The envelope closure is done at the end by picking up stitches along the sides as you knit the inner and outer ribbing, this technique ensures a snug fit that will keep your cushion closed with no need for snaps or buttons!
This project can be knit with two needles, one circular in a smaller circumference, or on a longer needle using the Magic Loop method.
Written and charted instructions are available for the colorwork.
This pattern was inspired by the Primavera cowl by Tanis Gray, with permission.
