Wanderlust Cable Bags
YARN, GAUGE AND MACHINE: Tamm Bebe yarn is used single or double stranded. The double strand version can be knitted on bulky and most mid-gauge machines and gets 4.5 stitches/6 rows per inch in stockinette at about stitch size 4 for bulkies and 6-7 for mid-gauge machines. To use one cone double stranded, rewind half of it onto a second cone before beginning. Single stranded Bebe used on the Passap, standard and mid-gauge machine gets a gauge of 6.75 stitches/9.5 rows per inch. Passaps try stitch size 7, Japanese standards try stitch size 8, Mid-gauge machines try stitch size 3-4. It is not necessary to match the gauge perfectly for this project. One cone will make both bags.
