Waning
Waning was designed in collaboration with the members of my Ravelry Group. We started this project way back in February. After much discussion and voting, the group had established my design parameters by the end of April….a crescent shaped shawl with a garter stitch body and special edging for variegated yarn. After several months of designing, pattern writing, testing and photography, the pattern has finally been released. As with most of my shawl patterns, Waning is adjustable.
Yarn:
400 - 800 yards fingering weight or lace weight yarn.
Needles:
US 6-8 (4.0 – 5.0 mm) circular, plus a needle 2 sizes larger (for the bind off).
Size:
Adjustable.
Notions:
3 Stitch markers, including one locking style marker.
Yarn needle for weaving in ends.
Sample knit with 600 yds CSDye Alibi Sock in the Dark Eyes colorway on size US 8 (5.0mm) needles. Wingspan = 76 inches (193 cm). Depth = 17 inches (43 cm).
