Warm & Cozy Log Cabin Afghan Quilt
I designed this afghan quilt for my nephew in his favorite colors: navy blue, cherry red and teal green. Two people (or more if they’re small folks like my nephews) can snuggle up in it on the sofa, and it’s large enough to completely cover the top of a full size bed, or to hang over like a bedspread on a twin size bed. Also terrific in the den, TV watching room or spare bedroom.
This is a connect-as-you-go granny-type square project so it feels like you are making significant progress right from the start. You can make it in any 4 colors of your choice, keeping in mind that you’ll get the best look with 1 really intense color (like the red) and 3 other contrasting colors sort of in the same family (like the blue and the 2 greens).
SIZE
Mine measures 62” x 62”, but yours could vary depending on yarn thickness, hook size, and how tightly or loosely you crochet. Afghans are very forgiving projects, so there isn’t a specific gauge you need to adhere to.
