Not everyone can handle a rustic yarn against their skin but still want the warmth of it. I designed this cowl so that you can have the best of both worlds. It’s knit as one piece and then grafted together.

For a bit of a halo against your skin, pair your inner yarn with a strand of mohair and hold it together throughout the second section.

Instructions for provisional cast on and grafting are included.

Completed cowl is 22” around, 9 1/2” tall.

Yarn requirements:
You need approximately 175 yards of both your rustic yarn and your softer one to complete the project. If you want to add in the mohair, you’ll need approximately 175 yards of it.

I used two full skeins of Diamond’s Pure Donegal Tweed and most of a skein of Berroco Vintage for the sample.
