Warm and Cute Entrelac Hats
This pattern is available as a

Most entrelac hat patterns shape the crown by using fewer stitches in the squares on each successive tier of squares. The squares get smaller and smaller until you cannot work entrelac anymore, so you pick up around, decrease rapidly, and tie a large pom-pom to the top to cover up where it does not look nice. I wanted to construct some entrelac hats where squares of the same size fit together geometrically.
This pattern explains how to construct three different crown styles for entrelac hats in whatever gauge, square size, and hat size you choose. Details and diagrams of my five samples start on page 10, but you will not find specific instructions for any hat.
Shown in Cascade 220 Superwash Wave (220 yds / 201 meters / 100 grams).
