Knit this cosy hot water bottle cover and make yourself Warm as Toast. Who doesn’t look at steaming toast on a plate and wish they were that warm?
Cold toes? No problem. Aches? Sorted.

This cover fits your standard 2L bottle like a sock. To insert the bottle, you roll the empty bottle ‘long sides to middle’ and slide through the opening at the top. It is designed to not have to be removed from the cover to refill so you don’t ever have to fiddle with a super-hot top and trying to fold the cover down.

It is knitted on ‘too small’ needles (in the round) for the yarn to make the gauge extra dense, burns through gaps in the knit aren’t fun and a denser knit keeps the heat in much longer. Trust me, it works.

I’ve recently been made aware of the fact worsted weight yarn is hard to come by in the UK, so alternatively, you could use a skinny aran such as WYS The Croft with the same size needles (there isn’t much in the thickness between worsted and aran), or a heftier aran such as Drops Nepal with 3mm needles to achieve gauge. See what you have in your stash, check the gauge using wraps per inch - we’re looking for 9-11 wraps per inch for 3.25mm needles.
