This pattern was designed specifically for Zealana air lace weight. This yarn has a tendency to stretch out, therefore the stitch count for the small size is lower than is typical. If substituting a different yarn, be aware that the small size may be a bit too tight unless that yarn has similar stretchy properties to the zealana air lace weight. When in doubt, swatch!
