This pattern is for one of my most ornately cabled warm pocket shawls. One cable comes to us from the Shetland Islands and the other is a product of Japan. The shawl incorporates the two very complex cables to form a single pocket shawl. The pockets insure that the shawl will stay comfortably on your shoulders. If you love knitting cables, you’ll enjoy this shawl made using worsted weight yarn, guaranteeing that you’ll be warm on a cool spring evening
The two very unique cables in the shawl are charted only.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of cabling)
This pattern was expertly tested by Rebecca Wood, who can be reached at: rkwood16@ gmail.com. The yarn used in the sample is Shepherd Worsted by Lorna’s Laces.
Note: Lorna’s Laces yarn is no longer available. A good substitute would be Fleece Artist’s Organic Chinook.
The pattern is for sale, both in my Ravelry Store:
and in my Etsy shop, in the Warm Pocket Shawl Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?ref=seller-...)
