If you love knitting cables, you’ll enjoy this shawl made using light worsted weight yarn, guaranteeing that you’ll be warm. The shawl incorporates a large distinct Japanese cable stitch pattern combined with a more traditional Aran cable. The combination of Japanese and Aran cables, gives the pocket shawl a unique and very interesting look. The pockets ensure that the shawl will stay put on your shoulders. This is a fun shawl to both knit and wear, or gift.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable knitting).

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging. This is the ONLY crochet in the entire pattern.

The pattern is Charted ONLY.

The sample shown here was made using Handmaiden’s Organic Chinook yarn, undyed.. It was expertly pattern tested by: Connie Frabroni, who can be reached at: frabonic@ aol.com

The pattern is for sale, both in my Ravelry Store:
and in my Etsy shop, in the Pocket Shawl Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?ref=seller-…)
