This sweater is meant to have the feel of a well worn, favourite old sweater that is somewhat stretched out and baggy because it is so well loved. Just like an enveloping, comforting hug, the Warm Embrace Sweater is cozy, snuggly and soothingly tactile. Perhaps this will become your new favourite sweater.

This is an oversized sweater with approx 8”/ 20cm positive ease. Choose the size that will give you the fit you prefer.
Sweater is shown in size 4 with an actual chest measurement of 42”/ 106.5cm.
YARN:
Prairie Worsted - Essence of Autumn Yarn
100% SW Merino, 4oz (115g), 210yd (219m) 4 ply
This is a worsted weight yarn with a recommended gauge of 16-20 sts using 4.5-5.5mm (US 7-9) needle.

Halo Dk - Essence of Autumn Yarn
70% Kid Mohair/30% Silk, 2oz (50g), 110yd (100m) 1 ply
This is a dk weight yarn with a recommended gauge of 21-24 sts using 3.75-4.5mm (US 5-7) needle.
Colour/Quantity
(D) Spring in Autumn: 2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins
(E) Cobblestones of Scotland: 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2) skein(s)
MATERIALS:
One set of 4.5mm (US 7) (or size to obtain gauge). For the cowl 4.5mm, 5mm (US 8) and 5.5mm (US 9) circular needle, stitch markers, stitch holder, tapestry needle.
Note: Sample is sewn together using an optional 3 Needle Bind Off. You will need 3 circular needles (to accommodate number of sts) of the same size used to knit the body of the sweater.
GAUGE:
Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain gauge.
Use Prairie Worsted for gauge swatching.
St st: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4”/ 10 cm after blocking using 4.5mm (US 7) needle.
