This shawl was designed for the Jan-Mar Knit-or-Crochet-a-long for Invictus Yarns. It uses an incredibly luxurious silk and cashmere blend called “Seraphic.” The skein is a long one, and this pattern uses two skeins. Yardage and gauge can be adjusted slightly for larger or smaller shawls. Worked as written, the shawl measures approximately 8 feet in width and two and a half feet in depth at its deepest point. It can be wrapped several times around the neck and shoulders, and creates a lightweight, but warm and cozy shawl.

Skill Level: Advanced beginner— this uses a combination of cables and lace stitches, with increase and decrease sections.
Materials: approximately 900 yds (825 m) of sock yarn. The shawl pictured used two skeins of Invictus Yarns Seraphic (70% merino, 20% silk, 10% cashmere; 437 yds /100g) in the color “Storm Chaser”
Needles: Size US5 (3.75mm) sock needles
Tools: A cable needle, if necessary, scissors, 23 stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, and blocking tools
Gauge: 24 stitches and 30 rows per 4 inch square (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
Sizing: Adjustable, depending on yardage available.
