There are little black dresses in every handcovering wardrobe, and this is one of them: basic gloves (knit flat and seamed). These are very properly knit with sport- or DK-weight yarn at a tighter tension (gauge) than usual, for excellent warmth and endurance properties. There’s nothing extravagant or fussy about them-- in fact, they could hardly be simpler. The cuff is a 1 x 1 rib and everything else is st st. Their glory will come when made in a gorgeous handdyed yarn in a sumptuous colourway and natural fibre, as here.
