Warmth for Warriors Knitted Hat
Instructions are given for knitting the hat flat and seamed and for in the round and seamless.
Warmth for Warriors is a 501(c)3 based in Michigan, USA. We are knitting and crocheting homemade hats to comfort our soldiers, both active duty and retired and would love your help! We distribute hats all year long to active duty soldiers overseas, to medical units where the sick and wounded are prepared to leave for hospitals in Germany and to VA hospitals back home in the United States. A warm wool hat, made with love, provides both physical comfort and a “Hug of Thanks”.
Suggested Worsted Weight Yarns for Hats:
100% Wool Yarns in Any Dark Color - Reds, Blues, Greens, Purples, Browns, Black, Tweed, etc.
Natural Fiber Yarns such as Alpaca and Merino can also be used.
Synthetic fibers are only sent to locations in the United States.
Needle Size 8 or 9 will usually provide the correct sizing.
Note: The knitted hat is on the left in the photo.
