Wasaga Sweater
The Wasaga Sweater (adult) is a light, feminine raglan sweater, worked from the top down. This sweater has a deep neckline, roll neck, eyelet increases, and i-cord finishing. Since the sweater is worked top down, it can be tried on along the way, allowing you to customize the sleeve and body length.
The sweater has a recommended positive ease of approx. 15-20 cm, but you can choose the size based on your desired fit. See the measurements below.
Workflow:
The piece is first worked back and forth in stockinette with raglan increases (yarn overs). Once the front piece reaches a certain depth to shape the neck opening, stitches are cast on for the neck, and the piece is worked in the round in stockinette with raglan increases to the underarm. Sleeve stitches are placed on hold, and the rest of the body is worked in the round. The body is finished with 1x1 ribbing and an i-cord bind off. The sleeves are worked in the round in stockinette with stripes, 1x1 ribbing and an i-cord bind off. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline to work the neckband in 1x1 ribbing and finished with an i-cord.
