Waste Not, Want Not was something often heard in our house, growing up. Use what you have, be resourceful and you will have more than you would think. These mittens are no exception! Made from odd bits and pieces of worsted weight yarn that was calling to me from my stash, they are fun and cheering. The more crazy colours, the better and matching is not mandatory, in fact, it is discouraged!

The instructions for the mittens are graphed for the most part. I’ve used an afterthought thumb style to easily incorporate the design on the palm of the hands.

The pattern also includes a vivid description of the Russian join for changing colours. No ends when you’re done!
