Water Lily Mandala Square
This quick little square works up in under an hour, and can be modded easily to fit whatever size of afghan you’re working on! But don’t limit it to afghans - why not pillow covers, table center pieces, bags, etc… it’s pretty endless!
For those of you in Australia, testers had issues getting gauge with yarn widely available, so plan on ending up with smaller squares, or bumping up your hook to make a 6” square in the end.
Supplies Needed:
~ 40-70 yards of yarn, 4 colours
I (5.5 mm) hook
Yarn needle (for sewing in ends)
Stitches used:
Sc, sc dec, hdc, dc, tr, standing sc, magic loop, invisible join
Difficulty Level:
Advanced beginner: back post sc, colour changes, picot.
This pattern is written in US terms, abbreviated style (using abbreviated terms such as sc, hdc, etc.)
This pattern allows local sales (such as craft fairs, to friends/coworkers), charity use, and gifting. This pattern does NOT allow online sales, such as on Etsy.
Thank you for your interest and support - it means a lot to me! Happy crafting!
