The Waterfall romper will soon become your go to knit for a new baby with its simple intuitive design. It is perfect for year-round wearing, use cotton yarn for summer and wool yarn for winter.

This pattern is worked from the bottom upwards. The front and back bottoms are worked flat separately before being joined to work in the round for the body section. The work is then split again to work the top front and back sections flat before finishing with the shoulder straps.

Sizing
This romper is designed with approx. 2-5cm/1-2” of negative ease meaning it will be smaller than the chest size given for a firm fit.

Small NB: 35 – 38cm, 13.75 – 15”
0-3mth: 38 – 40cm, 15 – 15.75”
3-6mth: 40 – 43cm, 15.75 – 17”
6-9mth: 43 – 45cm, 17 – 17.75”
9-18mth: 45 – 51cm, 17.75 – 20”

Gauge
Knit flat and in the round, 22 sts by 30 rows per 10cm/4”

Needles and notions
• 3.5mm, 40cm length circular needle (or other needles required to achieve gauge)
• Darning needle
• Scissors
• 4 x 20mm buttons
• Smooth waste yarn (optional)

Any 8ply/DK weight yarn that you can achieve gauge within the approximate amounts listed below.

Small NB: 145m, 70gm
0-3m: 155m, 80gm
3-6m: 200m, 95gm
6-9m: 255m, 120gm
9-18m: 285m, 135gm
