2021 Slow Yarn Crawl pattern from Knit-A-Bit!
How’s that? A yarn crawl? Yep - even if you can’t travel, or shops aren’t able to open yet, we’re on: the Slow Crawl is virtual again this year, too! That actually means you can join in from anywhere!
Get a passport from this shop or other participating shops (they’re $10)
Starting May 28th, visit all the shops - online, or safely in person
Each participating shop will give you the download codes for their pattern and a sticker or stamp for your passport (purchase required for virtual “visits”)

I like vests so decided 2021 was the year. Then we had two yarns that went together so well they were calling to be used together. A search thru Barbara Walker’s pattern books found the Watergate stitch. So here you are. Take two worsted weight yarns (my light yarn was a heavy worsted) and have some fun.
Difficulty Level: Beginning/ Intermediate
Size: 36 (38, 40, 42, 44, 46 ) inches chest measurement.
43.25 (45.0, 45.75, 47.5, 49.125, 51.75) inches finished chest measurement
Yarn: 3 skeins of light multi colored yarn. (called light yarn) (100 g, 218 yds)
2 skeins of dark solid color yarn. (called dark yarn) (113 g, 250 yds)
Needle: US 8 circular needles, 30 or 40 inch
US 7 double points (2 required for I-cord edging)
Gauge: 19 sts and 28.5 rows per 4 inches in pattern. Keep swatch of pattern to use for checking that the DPs used for the I-cord create a row gauge that matches the stitch
gauge of the pattern fabric.
Notions: Smooth yarn or interchangeable cables to hold stitches of shoulders and neck edges until finished.
