Watering in the Garden Shawlette
When the postie delivered this wonderful graduated yarn I knew that I had to make something special from it. The soft greys developing into pinks brought to mind flowers emerging in the garden as I watered away with my watering can one day and so this little shawlette developed.
Each section carries a pattern or motif that reminded me of the garden…. I hope that you can see them too. The lace pattern sections are divided by rest breaks with every wrong side row being a purl row for ease of knitting. The test knitters considered it to be a good beginner/ intermediate pattern.
The pattern is set out with written instructions and charts for your preference and some close up shots of the patterns so that you can see what you are going to create.
I used 300m of a fingering/dk weight, but there is an option to extend your shawl at the end which a couple of the test knitters took taking their yarn usage up to around 400m.
Come and join the ‘giddy’ {made with love} group for some support and fun.
