Waterlily Blanket
This is a small, square blanket with a stylized floral design. In the suggested yarn it makes a blanket suitable for a baby or a lap rug.
The design is worked in intarsia - this means you will be using up to 26 threads at one time. I suggest about 20 bobbins and another 20 stitch markers to help you keep you place.
The pattern provides charts for textural stitches used for the hem and across the body of the design as well as the main chart. Since the design is symmetrical, the main chart represents one-quarter of the design. This means reading it in both directions for each row and flipping it upside down for the “top” half of the blanket.
The sample was worked using:
4 skeins = 720.0 yards (658.4 meters) of ecru
0.6 skeins = 108.0 yards (98.8 meters of green
0.48 skeins = 86.4 yards (79.0 meters) of blue
0.28 skeins = 50.4 yards (46.1 meters) of raspberry
